Can I purchase Extended Warranties?
Yes. For your peace of mind, you can purchase additional 6 Month and 12 Month Extended Warranties to protect your devices for longer.
Does the price shown include GST?
Yes. All prices listed on our website are in New Zealand dollars and are GST included.
How can I change or cancel my order?
Once an order has been placed and payment made we are unable to make any changes, including changing the shipping address, adding or removing items, changing quantities or cancelling your order.
How can I track my order?
You will be contacted by email with a CourierPost tracking number when your order is dispatched. You can find out the status of your delivery online by visiting www.courierpost.co.nz. Most devices will require a signature upon delivery.
How do you guarantee the quality of the device?
Full-time electronics engineers are on board to check devices before they are ready to sell. All used devices are checked at a component level on the motherboard for power leakage and water damage. We replace batteries with new original replacements for iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5C, 5S models. Before we process a device for sale, all software functions and buttons are tested.
At Duct Tape Workshop we guarantee our devices rating for three months, meaning that if you have any warranty issues whatsoever you can pop back and we will start the repairs that day!
How do you price your second hand devices?
We have a fairly simple pricing structure on our used devices spread across 5 separate grades;
U - Unused / Never Activated device (Unused). Directly from Apple, comes with one year Apple warranty.
A – Close to a ‘like-new’ device (Excellent Condition)
B – Device can have minor scratching or one or two dents (Good Condition)
C – Device has scratching and denting (Fair Condition)
D – Devices have heavy scratching or dents (Fair Minus)
These grades are based purely on aesthetics in no way reflect how the devices operate. As every used device has unique markings or wear on the outer shell, we take high-resolution images covering six different angles of the device to make our online shopping experience like you are in our store.
How long does my order take to get delivered?
FREE shipping within New Zealand for all online orders. We use CourierPost TRACKED SIGNATURE Service. All online orders are dispatched from Auckland Head Office.
Standard delivery takes 1 to 3 working days to receive after your order is processed. For rural address, it may take 3 to 5 working days to deliver. Please note we can deliver to a PO Box address in NZ.

What happens after I have completed payment online successfully?
After you place an order with us, you’ll receive a confirmation email shortly with the detailed information of your online purchase. Your order will be prepared for shipment within 24 hours.
What is Duct Tape Workshop’s warranty policy?
All online orders are covered by our 3 month standard return to base warranty, which includes basic hardware failure on the device itself and parts. It doesn’t cover accidental, cosmetic, liquid damage or damage due to modifications.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that information will not be disclosed to any unauthorised person or organisation. We will not disclose any personal information about you to a person, body or an agency that is not entitled to obtain this information. We do not share your details with third party companies, with the exception of courier companies.
