• Can I purchase Extended Warranties?

    Yes. For your peace of mind, you can purchase additional 6 Month and 12 Month Extended Warranties to protect your devices for longer.

  • Does the price shown include GST?

    Yes. All prices listed on our website are in New Zealand dollars and are GST included.

  • How can I change or cancel my order?

    If you want to change the shipping address, add or remove items, change quantities, cancel your order or make any other changes, just send an email to eshop@ducttape.co.nz letting us know. Note that we cannot change or cancel your order once it has been shipped.

  • How can I track my order?

    You will be contacted by email with a CourierPost tracking number when your order is dispatched. You can find out the status of your delivery online by visiting www.courierpost.co.nz. Most devices will require a signature upon delivery.

  • How do you guarantee the quality of the device?

    Full-time electronics engineers are on board to check devices before they are ready to sell. All second-hand iPhones are fully tested, professionally serviced, cleaned and fitted with a brand new genuine battery. Furthermore, we make sure no iPhone has any sign of power leakage or water damage. All devices are factory reset before processed for sale.

    At Duct Tape Workshop we guarantee our devices rating for three months, meaning that if you have any warranty issues whatsoever you can pop back and we will start the repairs that day!

  • How long does my order take to get delivered?

    FREE shipping within New Zealand for all online orders. We use CourierPost TRACKED SIGNATURE Service. All online orders are dispatched from Auckland Head Office.

    Standard delivery takes 1 to 3 working days to receive after your order is processed. For rural address, it may take 2 to 4 working days to deliver. Please note we can deliver to a PO Box address in NZ.

  • Is shopping online with Duct Tape Workshop secure?

    We would like you to have a safe and secure shopping experience online. Your payment information is secure by using industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. Duct Tape Workshop keeps no credit card details.

  • What do the grades on your devices mean?

    We have a fairly simple pricing structure on our devices spread across separate grades;

    N – Device in sealed retail package (Brand New)
    Official Manufactory Warranty

    U – Never Activated device (Unused)
    Directly from Apple, comes with one year Apple warranty

    A+ – Practically new device in original box with all Apple accessories.

    A – Close to a ‘like-new’ device (Excellent Condition)

    B – Device can have minor scratching or one or two dents (Good Condition)

    The following are Refurbished Grades. Genuine iPhone, serviced, cleaned and fitted with new battery:

    RA – Works perfectly. In excellent condition with little to no visible signs of use.
    RB – Works perfectly. May have a few minor scratches/dents around the body or the screen.
    RC – Works perfectly. It appears used with more pronounced scratches or scuffs around the body or the screen.

    Grades for second-hand iPhones/iPads/MacBooks are based purely on aesthetics in no way reflect how they operate. As every used device has unique markings or wear on the outer shell, we take high-resolution images covering six different angles of the device to make our online shopping experience like you are in our store.

  • What happens after I have completed payment online successfully?

    After you place an order with us, you’ll receive a confirmation email shortly with the detailed information of your online purchase. Your order will be prepared for shipment within 24 hours.

  • What is Duct Tape Workshop’s warranty policy?

    All online orders are covered by our 3 month standard return to base warranty, which includes basic hardware failure on the device itself and parts. It doesn’t cover accidental, cosmetic, liquid damage or damage due to modifications.

    If something does go wrong with your device, don’t worry. Just send us an email at eshop@ducttape.co.nz and let us know the issue is. Often many problems can be easily resolved over email, but if not, we’ll send you a free return box within 24 hours and get it sorted!

    We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that information will not be disclosed to any unauthorised person or organisation. We will not disclose any personal information about you to a person, body or an agency that is not entitled to obtain this information. We do not share your details with third party companies, with the exception of courier companies.
